Coverage

Coverage is the amount of risk or liability covered by insurance. The insurer will help the insured financially recover loss or damages from an unexpected, sudden, or accidental event, such as a fire or theft.

What are the six insurance coverage categories?

· Dwelling

· Other structures

· Personal property

· Loss of use

· Personal liability

· Medical payments

Note that a policy may not include all coverage areas and policies can be adjusted according to the insured’s needs.
